About LRT3

What is LRT 3?

The Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) envisages to connect two million people between Bandar Utama and Klang by March 2025. Developed in line with the Greater Kuala Lumpur/Klang Valley (GKL/KV) Land Public Transport Masterplan, LRT3 will be a key feature in extending rail connectivity to the Western Corridor of GKL/KV.

Increase travel efficiency

Reduce traffic congestions

Encourage economic growth and productivity

Mobilise more passengers with 18,630 passengers per hour

Building a better tomorrow

Two Integrated stations

Along the LRT3 alignment, two integrated stations are designed to provide a more convenient travel and better connectivity to passengers, offering easy interchange with the existing rail system:
• Station 1 – Integrated with MRT Sg. Buloh – Kajang Line at Bandar Utama Station
• Station 7- Integrated with LRT Kelana Jaya Line at CGC Glenmarie Station

Initiative to increase the public transport modal share to 40% by 2030

LRT3 will spur the revitalization of high density, mixed-use real estate development around the stations. Once operations commence in 2025, residents and business owners will enjoy further economic growth, as well as a more efficient travel experience from the Western Corridor area to the Kuala Lumpur City Centre.
