On 29th December 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK) held a tender briefing for the LRT3’s “design and build of installation, testing and commissioning of gas pipes relocation works for LRT3 Bandar Utama – Johan Setia”. On 14th December 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK) held a tender briefing for the LRT3’s “manufacture, supply and delivery of precast pier caps and other related works for LRT3 Bandar Utama – Johan Setia”. Present at the briefing was YBhg Datin Norlia Noah, Project Director of LRT 3, Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd (PRAISE); Tuan Haji Mohamad Amjad Faruq, Deputy Project Director- Infrastructure, MRCBGK and Mr. Noeh Niqmann Zainal Abidin, certified integrity officer, Prasarana.

On 29th November 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK) held a tender briefing for the LRT3’s “design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of power supply and distribution system for Bandar Utama – Johan Setia”. Present at the briefing was YBhg Datin Norlia Noah, Project Director of LRT 3, Prasarana Rail and Infrastructure Projects Sdn Bhd (PRAISE); Mr. George Josef Pauli, Deputy Project Director- System, MRCBGK and Yang Berusaha Mr. Major Kamarul Azhan Nordin, Programme Director, Industrial Collaboration Programme (ICP) Prasarana.

Tender briefing on 25th November 2016 (Package TD1- Construction and Completion of Johan Setia Depot Phase 1 and associated works)

On 25th November 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK) held a tender briefing for the LRT3’s “construction and completion of Johan Setia Depot Phase 1 and associated works.”. Present at the briefing was Mr. Henny Shahril Kasiran, Senior Vice President, Prasarana and Tuan Haji Mohamad Amjad Faruq, Deputy Project Director (Infrastructure) MRCBGK. Also in attendance were the pre-qualified contractors.

Pre-tender briefing on 24th November 2016 for G2 to G4 Bumiputera contractors

On 24th November 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) through a collaborative effort with Government’s Bumiputera Agenda Steering Unit (Teraju), Contractor and Entrepreneur Development Division (BPKU) of Ministry of Works and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB), held a pre-tender briefing for G2-G4 Bumiputera contractors. The briefing saw the participation of 135 companies. Present at the briefing was Tuan Haji Mohamad Amjad Faruq, Deputy Project Director (Infrastructure) MRCBGK. Also in attendance were the G2 to G4 Bumiputera contractors.

Tender briefing on 15th November 2016 (design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunication system for Bandar Utama – Johan Setia)

On 15th November 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd held a tender briefing for the LRT3’s “design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of telecommunication system for Bandar Utama – Johan Setia”. Present at the briefing was Mr Ong Gin Lip, Project Director, MRCBGK and Mr. George Josef Pauli, Deputy Project Director-System, MRCBGK. Also in attendance were the prequalified contractors.

Tender Briefing on 25th October 2016 (manufacture, supply and delivery of precast viaduct (U-trough girder) and other related works).

On 25th October 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd held a tender briefing for the “manufacture, supply and delivery of precast viaduct (U-trough girder) and other related works.”

Present at the briefing Datin Norlia Noah and Mr Ong Gin Lip, the Project Directors for Prasarana and MRCB George Kent respectively. Also in attendance were –prequalified contractors. The briefing was concluded by a site visit to the proposed location of the casting yard.

Tender Briefing on 5th October 2016 (design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of signalling & train control system (S&TCS), platform screen door system (PSDS) & intrusion preventive system (IPS) for LRT3).

On 5^th October 2016, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd and MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd held a tender briefing for the “design, manufacture, supply, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of signalling & train control system (S&TCS), platform screen door system (PSDS) & intrusion preventive system (IPS) for LRT3”

Present at the briefing Datin Norlia Noah and Mr Ong Gin Lip, the Project Directors for Prasarana and MRCB George Kent respectively. Also in attendance were prequalified contractors.

Official Launch of LRT3 Project

LRT3 project has been officially launched by Prime Minister of Malaysia, Hon. Dato’ Sri Najib bin Tun Hj. Abdul Razak at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan on 24^th August 2016. The event also was attended by Chief Minister of Selangor, Dato’ Seri Mohammed Azmin bin Ali; Chairman of Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, Tan Sri Ismail Adam; President & Group CEO of Prasarana, Dato’ Azmi Abdul Aziz; Minister of Transport, Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai; Urban Wellbeing, Housing and Local Government Minister, Tan Sri Noh Omar; Selangor Exco, YB Dato’ Teng Chang Khim; MRCB Chairman, Tan Sri Mohamad Salim Fateh; George Kent Chairman Tan Sri Tan Kay Hock and others.

An estimated 4,500 pax of guests arrived for the distinguished event, comprising of Prasarana employees, contractors and politicians. The launch begins with a welcome speech by the Prasarana’s Group Chairman, Tan Sri Ismail Adam, followed by the keynote address by Prime Minister of Malaysia. The event was further celebrated with the launch gimmick and a flash mob. The event ended with the honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia touring the project information gallery walk and a model of the alignment and LRT3’s world-class U-trough technology.

CLQ Tender Briefing

Successful pre-qualified applicants for the Light Rail Transit Line 3 (LRT3) Centralised Labour Quarters in Johan Setia which features the Depot and Training Centre were announced. The event saw an attendance of 100 people.
