SHAH ALAM, 28 December 2018: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the project delivery partner of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent traffic diversions at Bulatan Simpang Lima, Klang. The diversions will commence from 7 January 2019 to 28 February 2019 from 10.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m. (for Closures A, B & C) and 24 hours (for Closure D) respectively. Closures will be deactivated during the day (except for Closure D) and traffic will resume as usual.

 

‘The traffic diversions are as follows:

Closure A – Traffic Diversion on Jalan Tengku Kelana (10.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.)

The left lane on Jalan Tengku Kelana will be closed. Motorists on Bulatan Simpang Lima who are heading to Jalan Tengku Kelana will be diverted as indicated by the GREEN arrows on the map.

 

 

 Closure B – Traffic Diversion on Jalan Tengku Kelana (10.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.)

  • Jalan Tengku Kelana-bound

Part of the right lane on Jalan Tengku Kelana will be closed. Motorists from Bulatan Simpang Lima heading to Jalan Tengku Kelana will be diverted as indicated by the BLUE arrows on the map below.

  • From Jalan Tengku Kelana towards Bulatan Simpang Lima

Part of the right lane from Jalan Tengku Kelana towards Bulatan Simpang Lima will be closed. Motorists heading to Bulatan Simpang Lima will be diverted as indicated by the ORANGE arrows on the map below.

  • Bulatan Simpang Lima

Two lanes on Bulatan Simpang Lima will be closed. Motorists travelling on Bulatan Simpang Lima will be diverted as indicated by the GREEN arrows on the map below.

 

Closure C – Traffic Diversion on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (10.00 p.m. to 5.00 a.m.)

The left lane on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah will be closed. Motorists heading to Bulatan Simpang Lima will be diverted as indicated by the RED arrows on the map below.

 

 

Closure D – Traffic Diversion at Bulatan Simpang Lima (24 hours)

The inner lane and part of the middle lane at Bulatan Simpang Lima will be closed. Motorists on Bulatan Simpang Lima will be diverted as indicated by the PURPLE arrows on the map below.

 

 

The closures will be implemented intermittently and in stages. There will be one lane available for motorists at all times.

 

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). Motorists are reminded to exercise caution, adhere to advance warning signs and directional signage placed when travelling in this area during the construction period.
