Traffic Announcement: Lane Closures and Traffic Diversions on Persiaran Sukan, Shah Alam from 18 September 2019 to 18 January 2020

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 14 September 2019: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent lane diversions on Persiaran Sukan, Shah Alam to facilitate road widening works (for Closure A & B) as well as utilities relocation, piling, pile cap and pier construction works (for Closure C) from 18 September 2019 to 18 January 2020 (Monday to Saturday).

For Closure A & B, the intermittent lane diversions will start from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. from 18 September 2019 to 30 September 2019 (Closure A), and from 1 October 2019 to 16 October 2019 (Closure B).

For Closure C, the lane diversions will be carried out for 24 hours from 12 October 2019 to 18 January 2020.

The traffic diversions are as follows:

Closure A – 18 September 2019 to 30 September 2019

The left lane on Persiaran Sukan from Giant Hypermarket Shah Alam Stadium will be closed for a stretch of 80 metres, while one lane will be made available for motorists as indicated on the map below:

 Closure B – 1 October 2019 to 16 October 2019

The right lane on both bounds of Persiaran Sukan will be closed as indicated on the map below:

 Closure C – 12 October 2019 to 18 January 2020

There will be a partial lane closure on the left lane of Persiaran Sukan, right next to Bulatan Bazarena. Motorists coming from Shah Alam can still use the two remaining lanes as indicated on the map below:
