SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 3 FEBRUARY 2021: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be a total slip road closure and traffic diversions from Bulatan Simpang Lima heading to Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang (from the roundabout to Jalan Bukit Kubur, Banting-bound) to facilitate long span, ‘U-Girder’ launching, and LRT3 project-related works from 6 February 2021 to 30 November 2021, (Monday to Sunday), 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted via alternative routes as indicated below.

Alternative 1:

Motorists from Jalan Istana heading to Jalan Bukit Kubur and Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah will be diverted to Bulatan Simpang Lima. Motorists would then be required to head towards Bulatan Kota (Klang-bound), and will need to make a U-Turn via Bulatan Kota to head back onto the Federal Highway towards Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, as indicated on the map below.

 

 

 

Alternative 2:

Motorists who are heading to Taman Sri Andalas and Banting will be diverted as indicated on the map below.

 

 

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the Movement Control Order (MCO) period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
