SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 24 September 2021: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be road closures and traffic diversions on Jalan Langat and Jalan Johan Setia, Klang (at the traffic light junction of Jalan Langat and Jalan Johan Setia) to facilitate ‘U-trough’ launching and LRT3 project-related works from 26 September 2021 to 2 October 2021, 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted as follows:

  • Motorists from Klang/KESAS heading towards Banting will be diverted to the opposite side of Jalan Langat (Klang-bound) via contra-flow traffic before heading back to Jalan Langat (Banting-bound) with one (1) lane made available to motorists.
  • One (1) lane will be made available to motorists from Banting heading towards Klang/KESAS.
  • One (1) lane will be made available to motorists from Pandamaran heading towards Banting.
  • Motorists from Klang/KESAS heading towards Jalan Johan Setia (Jalan Kebun-bound) will be diverted through Jalan Johan Setia 1 and Jalan Telekom.
  • Motorists from Jalan Kebun heading towards Jalan Langat via Jalan Johan Setia will be diverted through Jalan Telekom and Jalan Johan Setia 1.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from IPD Klang Selatan (PDRM), Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 2 period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
