Media Release: Intermittent road closures and traffic diversions on Jalan Batu Unjur and Jalan Langat (Klang and Banting-bound) to facilitate LRT3 project-related works from 16 December 2022 to 31 December 2022

KUALA LUMPUR – 13 DECEMBER 2022: Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd (formerly known as MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent road closures and traffic diversions on Jalan Batu Unjur and Jalan Langat (Klang and Banting-bound) to facilitate LRT3 project-related works from 16 December 2022 to 31 December 2022, (Monday to Sunday) from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. as shown below:

Closure A: Jalan Batu Unjur (Banting-bound)

During the closure, motorists on Jalan Batu Unjur heading towards Banting-bound will be diverted onto Jalan Langat (Klang-bound) and make a U-turn at the traffic light junction opposite Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang before heading straight towards Banting as indicated on the map below:

Closure B: Jalan Langat (Banting-bound) and Jalan Batu Unjur

During the closure, motorists on Jalan Langat heading towards Jalan Batu Unjur will be diverted onto the left lane, make a U-turn underneath the flyover opposite the residential area (Klang-bound) and head straight towards Jalan Batu Unjur slip road as indicated on the map below:

During the closures, three (3) lanes will be made available to motorists on Jalan Langat (Klang-bound) heading towards Jalan Batu Unjur as indicated on the map below:

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang).
