SHAH ALAM, 29 October 2018: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be traffic diversions on Jalan Kota, Klang. The diversions will commence in phases in the inner road to Jalan Kota, starting from 1 November 2018 until 31 January 2019.
The traffic diversions are as follows:
Phase 1 (1 to 30 November 2018)
The inner road from Jalan Jambatan Kota entering Jalan Kota will be closed in stages for a stretch of 50 meter. Motorists heading to Letchumanan Hall will be diverted to take the Bulatan Simpang Lima roundabout. At the roundabout, motorists can take the first exit to Jalan Tengku Kelana and take a left turn before Masjid India Klang to head to Jalan Dato Hamzah, then turn left turn into Jalan Bukit Jawa. From Jalan Bukit Jawa, motorists will need to make a left turn into Jalan Kota before continuing their journey to Letchumanan Hall as indicated by the GREEN arrows in the map below.
Phase 2 (1 December 2018 to 31 January 2019)
Part of Jalan Kota will be closed. Motorists from Pejabat Daerah & Tanah Klang who are heading to Bulatan Simpang Lima will be diverted to take a left turn into Jalan Bukit Jawa and then make a right turn into Jalan Dato Hamzah, motorist then will need to turn right into Jalan Mohet. At the traffic light of Jalan Mohet, motorists will need to make a right turn to Jalan Tengku Kelana and continuing their journey to Bulatan Simpang Lima as indicated by ORANGE arrows in the map below.
The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) and the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR). Motorists are reminded to exercise caution, adhere to advance warning signs and direction signage when travelling in the area during the construction period.
