SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 23 August 2019: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be road closures and traffic diversions at the two locations below:

 Closure A: Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang

(25 August 2019 to 30 November 2021, intermittent closure, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)

Purpose: To facilitate portal construction, launching and other LRT3 construction-related works.

There will be intermittent road closures and traffic diversions along Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang. The lanes from Bengkel Daya Klang until Devi Sri Maha Karumariammam Temple (Klang-bound) will be closed intermittently during the night. The closures will be re-opened during the day and traffic will resume as usual. During the intermittent closures, motorists will be diverted as indicated on the map below:

 

 

Closure B: Jalan Kapar and Lanes Surrounding the Commercial Area Near Emporium Makan, Klang

(25 August 2019 to 28 February 2020, 24 hours)

Purpose: To facilitate water pipe relocation works for the LRT3 project.

For the closure on Jalan Kapar, one lane will be closed in stages for a stretch of 50m. The closure will be re-opened and the road reinstated once the water pipes have been laid. Works will continue for the next 50m closure. The remaining areas along Jalan Taman, Jalan Taiping, Jalan Melayu, Jalan Nanas and Jalan Pasar involve a narrowing of the lanes without any road closure. During the closure, motorists will be diverted as indicated on the map below:
