SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 13 November 2020: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent road closures and traffic diversions on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang (from before Masjid Al-Rahimiah until after Jalan Tun Abdul Razak junction, Banting and Klang town-bound), Persiaran Seraya and Jalan Sri Siantan 46 to facilitate ‘U-Girder’ launching and LRT3 project-related works from 17 November 2020 to 30 November 2021, Monday to Sunday, 10:00 p.m to 5:00 a.m.

During the intermittent closures, at any one time, only one (1) road closure will be implemented and motorists will be diverted as follows:

 

Closure 1:

  • Motorists from Klang Town heading towards Banting will be diverted to the right-most lane and onwards to the opposite side of the road via contra flow traffic on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah with one (1) lane made available for motorists.
  • Motorists heading towards Jalan Sri Siantan 46 will be diverted to Jalan Sri Siantan 43.

 

 

Closure 2:

  • Motorists from Klang Town heading towards Banting will be diverted to the left-most lane  on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah with one (1) lane available for motorists.
  • Motorists from Banting heading towards Klang Town will be diverted to the left-most lane on Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah with one (1) lane available for motorists.
  • Motorists from Bulatan Simpang Lima heading towards Persiaran Seraya will be diverted to make a U-Turn opposite the Petronas petrol station before heading into Persiaran Seraya.
  • Motorists from Persiaran Seraya heading towards Banting will be diverted to Bulatan Simpang Lima before heading back on to Persiaran Tengku Ampuan Rahimah to proceed towards Banting.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
