SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 27 November 2020: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be a road closure and traffic diversions on Jalan Salam, Bandar Botanik, Klang (opposite Gamuda Land, Banting/KESAS-bound) to facilitate ‘U-Girder’ launching and LRT3 project-related works from 30 November 2020 to 6 December 2020, (Monday to Sunday), 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

During the closure, motorists will be diverted as indicated below:

  • Motorists from Jalan Salam heading towards “The Turf” will be diverted to Jalan Kasuarina 8.
  • Motorists from Jalan Salam heading towards Jalan Langat (Banting-bound) will be diverted to Jalan Kasuarina 8, 9, 10, 11, Persiaran Mahogani and Jalan Mahogani before heading back on to Jalan Langat (Banting-bound).
  • Motorists from Jalan Salam heading towards KESAS highway will be diverted to Jalan Kasuarina 8, 9, 10, 11 and Persiaran Mahogani before heading towards KESAS Highway (KL-bound).

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the Conditional Recovery Movement Control Order (CMCO) period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.

On 17 October 2018, the PDP model was replaced with a fixed price contract regime, making MRCB George Kent the main contractor.
