Media Release: Trial road closure at KM19.0 (East bound) and traffic diversion at Pandamaran Interchange (Ramp A) of the Shah Alam Expressway – SAE (KESAS) from 2 September 2021 to 3 September 2021

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 30 August 2021: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be a trial road closure at KM19.0 (East bound) and traffic diversion at Pandamaran Interchange (Ramp A) of the Shah Alam Expressway – SAE (KESAS) to facilitate Segmental Box Girder (SBG) launching and LRT3 project-related works from 2 September 2021 to 3 September 2021, 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

During the closure, the traffic diversion management scheme will be as follows:

1. Motorists on SAE (KESAS) heading towards Kuala Lumpur from Pulau Indah will be diverted to Jalan Langat via the Pandamaran Interchange, then to Jalan Mahogani and Persiaran Mahogani before heading back to SAE (KESAS).
2. Motorists heading towards Kuala Lumpur from Banting via Jalan Langat will be diverted to Jalan Johan Setia and Jalan Kebun to head back onto SAE (KESAS) via the Kebun Interchange.

Details of the lane closures and traffic diversion management scheme are as indicated on the maps below:

The diversions are implemented following the approval from IPD Klang Selatan (PDRM), the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang), Klang Municipal Council (MPK), Shah Alam Expressway – SAE (KESAS) and the Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA).

Throughout the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 1 period, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities. Motorists are advised to drive carefully and follow the traffic signages during the closure. We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the SAE (KESAS) users
