Media Release: Continuation of lane closures and traffic diversions on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near KM 14.1 (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound & Shah Alam / Subang-Bound) from 8 February 2022 to 31 May 2022

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 2 FEBRUARY 2022: Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd (formerly known as MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be continuation of lane closures and traffic diversions on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near KM 14.1 (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound & Shah Alam / Subang-Bound) to facilitate Segmental Box Girder (SBG) launching and LRT3 project-related works from 8 February 2022 to 31 May 2022, 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. in the following stages:

Stage 1: The leftmost lane and slow lane (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound) will be closed from 8 February 2022 to 22 February 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh as indicated on the map below:

Stage 2: The rightmost lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound) will be closed from 23 February 2022 to 4 March 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh as indicated on the map below:

Stage 3: The rightmost lane and the middle lane on both bounds will be closed from 5 March 2022 to 13 March 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound and Shah Alam / Subang-bound as indicated on the map below:

Stage 4: The rightmost lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound) and the leftmost lane and slow lane (Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound) will be closed from 14 March 2022 to 18 April 2022.

During the closure, one (1) lane will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound and two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound as indicated on the map below:

Stage 5: The leftmost lane, slow lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound) will be closed from 19 April 2022 to 7 May 2022.

During the closure, one (1) lane will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam as indicated on the map below:

Stage 6: The leftmost lane and the middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound) will be closed from 8 May 2022 to 31 May 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Subang toll.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) and Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS). Throughout the National Recovery Plan (NRP) Phase 4, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
