Media Release: Continuation of lane closures and traffic diversions on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near KM 14.1 (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound & Shah Alam / Subang-Bound) to facilitate Segmental Box Girder (SBG) launching and LRT3 project-related works from 1 November 2022 to 28 February 2023

KUALA LUMPUR – 28 OCTOBER 2022: Setia Utama LRT 3 Sdn Bhd (formerly known as MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be continuation of lane closures and traffic diversions on the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE) near KM 14.1 (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound & Shah Alam / Subang-Bound) to facilitate Segmental Box Girder (SBG) launching and LRT3 project-related works from 1 November 2022 to 28 February 2023 (Monday to Sunday), 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. in the following stages:

Stage 1: Intermittent closures and traffic diversions on the leftmost lane and the middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound) (Closure A) and the rightmost lane and the middle lane on both bounds (Closure B) from 1 November 2022 to 15 November 2022. At any one time only one closure (Closure A or Closure B) will be implemented.

  1. Closure A: Two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Subang toll.
  2. Closure B: Two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound and one (1) lane will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Shah Alam / Subang-bound.

 Stage 2: The leftmost lane and slow lane (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound) will be closed from 16 November 2022 to 30 November 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh as indicated on the map below:

Stage 3: The rightmost lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound) will be closed from 1 December 2022 to 15 December 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh as indicated on the map below:

Stage 4: The rightmost lane and the middle lane on both bounds will be closed from 16 December 2022 to 31 December 2022.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Sungai Buloh-bound and Shah Alam / Subang-bound as indicated on the map below:

Stage 5: The rightmost lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound) and the leftmost lane and slow lane (Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound) will be closed from 1 January 2023 to 15 January 2023.

During the closure, one (1) lane will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound and two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound as indicated on the map below:

Stage 6: The leftmost lane, slow lane and middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam-bound) will be closed from 16 January 2023 to 31 January 2023.

During the closure, one (1) lane will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Shah Alam as indicated on the map below:

Stage 7: The leftmost lane and the middle lane (Kuala Lumpur / Subang Toll-bound) will be closed from 1 February 2023 to 28 February 2023.

During the closure, two (2) lanes will be made available to motorists on NKVE Highway heading towards Kuala Lumpur / Subang toll as indicated on the map below:

The diversions are implemented following the approval from Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM) and Projek Lebuhraya Usahasama Berhad (PLUS).
