SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 21 July 2020: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be road closures and traffic diversions to facilitate sinkhole repair works from 21 July 2020 to 3 August 2020.

Location 1 : Jalan Langat (Banting-bound, traffic lights at the Jalan Johan Setia intersection) will be fully closed.

During the closure, motorists on Jalan Langat (from Klang) and from Kampung Pendamar heading towards Banting will be diverted onto Jalan Pendemaran, then enter Kota Bayuemas through Jalan Bayu 2/KS9 and make a left turn to Persiaran Delima before heading back onto Jalan Langat (Banting-bound) through Bandar Parkland.

 

 

Location 2 : Jalan Langat (KESAS highway/Klang-bound, traffic lights at the Bandar Parkland junction) will be fully closed.

During the closure, motorists on Jalan Langat heading towards KESAS highway/Klang will be diverted onto Persiaran Delima, turn right to Jalan Bayu 2/KS9 and turn left to Jalan Pendemaran before heading back onto KESAS highway (KESAS highway/Banting-bound) through Pulau Indah Highway.

 

Location 3 : Jalan Johan Setia (Jalan Langat-bound, traffic lights at the Jalan Langat intersection) will be fully closed.

During the closure, motorists on Jalan Johan Setia heading towards KESAS highway/Klang will need to take a left turn to Jalan Kebun before heading back onto KESAS. Motorists heading towards Jalan Langat will need to make a right turn to Jalan Kebun Tambahan, make another right turn to B129 Jalan Kebun Baru Batu 9, before heading back onto Jalan Langat.

 

 

Meanwhile, motorists on Jalan Langat heading to Jalan Johan Setia will need to make a left turn to B129 Jalan Kebun Baru Batu 9, make another left to Jalan Kebun Tambahan, and finally turn left to Jalan Johan Setia at the traffic light junction.

 

All heavy vehicles will not be allowed to use this alternative road and will be asked to turn around. We strongly suggest heavy vehicles to use the SKVE-Pulau Indah Highway route to get to/from Klang-Banting.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from the Klang Municipal Council and the Malaysian Public Works Department (JKR).

We apologise for any inconvenience caused to the public and greatly appreciate your kind understanding and patience as we build LRT3 for the betterment of the future, and in improving Klang Valley’s public transport system.
