Media Release: Road Closures and Traffic Diversions at Bulatan Kota, Jalan Meru and Jalan Kapar, Klang from 18 August 2021 to 30 November 2021

SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR – 16 August 2021: MRCB George Kent Sdn Bhd (MRCBGK), the main contractor of the Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) project, wishes to inform that there will be intermittent road closures and traffic diversions to facilitate ‘U-trough’ launching and LRT3 project-related works at Bulatan Kota (from the slip road of Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim, Jalan Meru and Jalan Kapar-bound), Jalan Meru (from the junction of Jalan Gelugor to LHDN, Setia Alam-bound) and Jalan Kapar (from the junction of Jalan Raja Bot to Wisma MAIS, Jalan Mantin-bound), Klang from 18 August 2021 to 30 November 2021, Monday to Sunday, 10:00 p.m to 5:00 a.m.

During the closures, motorists will be diverted as follows:

• Motorists from Jalan Gelugor heading towards Bulatan Kota will be diverted to Jalan Meru, Jalan Sireh and Bulatan Seratus to head towards Kuala Lumpur or Banting via Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim.
• Motorists from Banting heading towards Bulatan Kota will be diverted to Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim (Kuala Lumpur-bound) and will be required to enter Klang town to head towards Jalan Meru and Jalan Kapar.
• Motorists from Jalan Raja Bot will be diverted to Jalan Kapar, Jalan Mantin, Jalan Sireh and Bulatan Seratus before heading towards Kuala Lumpur or Banting via Persiaran Sultan Ibrahim.

The diversions are implemented following the approval from IPD Klang Selatan (PDRM), the Klang Public Works Department (JKR Klang) and Klang Municipal Council (MPK). Throughout the National Recovery Plan Phase 1, we will be following the guidelines of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Ministry of Health (MOH) when carrying out our construction activities.
